HK010 shows the development our team has achieved in terms of module neutralization. This license will assist in any situation when adapting a second-hand ECU, VCU or another module that has not been or could not have been neutralized beforehand, to another Hyundai/KIA vehicle. The HK010 is a solution which saves time, money and effort, because it makes it possible to adapt used modules safely and quickly. The latest update allows all owners of the HK010 to neutralize VCUs (vehicle control units) on bench for the whole Hyundai/KIA electric vehicle range! When neutralizing the ECU or VCU on bench, you will need the ZN051 ABRITES Distribution Box, and the CB403 Cable set for direct connection.
HK010 functionality (PIN code of donor vehicle is NOT needed):
- Neutralization of the VCU (vehicle control unit) for all EVs on bench
- Neutralization of the ECU (engine control unit) for all non-EVs (petrol-powered, diesel-powered, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles) on bench (only for vehicles with smart keys or vehicles with external immobilizer)
ECUs with built-in immobilizer can only be neutralized via OBD (check HK009 functionality below). Since HK010 is an update of the HK009 license, customers will still benefit from the legacy functionalities when the donor vehicle is available. Meaning, you can do all of the following by OBD if you know the PIN code of the donor vehicle: Legacy functionalities (HK009) via OBDII (donor vehicle PIN code required):
Capabilities for vehicles with a smart key:
- neutralization of the VCU (vehicle control unit) for all EVs
- neutralization of the smart system
- neutralization of the ECU (engine control unit) for all non-EVs (petrol-powered, diesel-powered, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles)
- neutralization of the ESCL
- neutralization of the PDM (for vehicles equipped with PDM)
Capabilities for vehicles with a mechanical key:
- neutralization of the immobiliser – this automatically neutralizes the ECU as well
- neutralization of the Smartra module (for vehicles that are equipped with one)
Live data demonstrating the state of the modules (neutralized/active) and the number of initialized keys is shown in the function window for convenience. Please note that the keys might have to be relearned to the vehicle after installing a neutralised module. An AVDI interface with an active annual subscription is required.
