The TN017 license allows you to reset and adapt the ID-code box unit of all Toyota and Lexus models, including those, manufactured in 2024. The reset of the ID Code Box opens up many possibilities for those working on Toyota/Lexus vehicles, mainly due to its location and the long time it takes for the vehicle to be dismantled until the ID Code Box is removed.

- ID-Code-Box reset (via LIN-BUS)
- ID-Code-Box adaptation in vehicle (new or reset second-hand module) to the Smart System via OBD (up to 2024)
- ID-Code-Box adaptation in vehicle (new or reset second-hand module) to the Smart System via internal CAN-Bus (2024)
- ID-Code-Box adaptation in vehicle (new or reset second-hand module) to the Engine Control Unit via OBD
When ID-Code Box replacement is needed, this license allows you to reset a second hand module and adapt it as a replacement, as well as adapt a brand new one to the vehicle easily. The procedure for resetting the ID-code box is required when the ID code box itself, smart system and/or Engine Control Unit (ECU) need to be replaced. Replacing the smart system requires pairing it with the ID-code box. In order to pair the ID-code box to the smart system, resetting the ID-Code box is obligatory. The same procedure applies to the Engine Control Unit. Smart System and Engine Control Unit do not require taking out the ID code box in case of exchange. ID Code box reset is made easier and quicker regardless of the presence of an ESL module in the car! When a virgin ID-code box is installed in the vehicle, synchronisation with the ECU and Smart system is required, as well as a working key. The TN017 allows you to perform this synchronisation via OBDII.
In order to perform ID-Code-Box reset procedure, internal CAN-BUS and internal LIN-BUS connections are needed, use the CB012 and CB031 cables for this purpose. The legacy TN009 license is required in order to use the full ID-Code-Box reset functionality and it is included in this software license.
