On 17 April: Write Configuration Data Functionality on New SPC560 Processors for JLR 2018+ Vehicles
The next improvement of the essential Abrites software for JLR vehicles (offline) includes an alternative way for RFA/KVM replacement procedure.
You can exchange the processor of JPLA, K8D2, J9C3, and M9R3 RFA/KVM modules with new SPC560xx processor and write configuration data directly onto it on bench using ABProg.
RFA/KVM (Remote Function Actuator / Keyless Vehicle Module) houses the SPC560xx MCU that manages immobilizer and body access security functions.
For Jaguar and Land Rover cars from about 2018 through 2026, the RFA/KVM module contains the SPC560xx processor. Common RFA/KVM part numbers include K8D2, J9C3, JPLA and M9R3, which are installed across models like Defender, Velar, Evoque, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover, and various Jaguar sedans and SUVs.
This addition makes the module change more cost-effective, giving you the opportunity to choose if you’d like to replace the whole module or only the processor.
