20 years of Innovation – Abrites at 20
In a very turbulent industry, where the status quo does not allow any newcomers in 2005 in little Bulgaria a company was born.
A company conceived with a goal to revolutionize the automotive diagnostic industry. In the beginning things were small but the idea that an innovative product could create something more than what existed when we started our work.
Abrites was founded based on our core values,
these values were to be customer focused, to be able to respond to the needs of the people who bought our products, to allow them to have an alternative to the existing tools they were using and to allow them to Achieve the Impossible.
I know for a fact that the founder of Abrites, who to this day is the owner of the company and a developer here would rather me not mention that but the effort he put in to lay the groundwork for what you see today is a herculean task which was in fact one man against corporations with centuries of experience.
In the beginning these values of providing the best possible solutions to problems you guys have been hard to achieve. The members of the team which worked here (most of them still do) had it rough, they tested on friends’ cars and often the cars ended up incapacitated for a day, at least.
After that the team grew and new people started joining the company. This is around the time when I joined Abrites. We were situated in an apartment just big enough to house the team, we had no garage and tested our software outside, come rain or shine.
The automotive industry grew, we expanded into new brands, we now had a good reputation and we fought tooth and nail to keep our positions as a market leader in the field of aftermarket diagnostic software and hardware solutions.
We started going to more and more exhibitions, we opened our French office, expanded and later came Abrites Italy. The OEMs weren’t happy but we kept at it, we continued our quest and overcame the technological challenges that stood before us. We had to negotiate many obstacles placed in our way.
I can only say that after 20 years at the forefront of development we still hold the same values:
1. Put our customers first – You are the ones putting food on our tables and we appreciate you, we always try to provide you with the competitive advantage and place you ahead of your competition.
2. Always rely on our own development – This way we can guarantee that whatever you have invested in you will always have
3. Be innovative – We are always the first to provide a solution, if we are not then we will provide you with the best possible solution for a problem.
Like I always say – “Having just one tool is impossible today but if you have to have just one it must be AVDI!”
